Increasingly, design jobs are being posted on "bid" sites, like oDesk. There, you get to play "Race To The Bottom", competing with people in Pakistan or Indonesia who don't have running water or sewers, but they do have broadband. Which leads to job postings like this, for oDesk themselves, based here in Greater LA...

Is that even legal? Why yes, I WOULD love to work a full 40 hour week for less than $100.
And look at the people applying, asking for over $5 an hour. Who do they think the fuck they are, Rockefellers?
We are well on the way back to Medieval serfdom.
